AWA Water Management has its own in-house laboratory where we do the following water analyses:
- Electrical conductivity measurements
- Suspended solids counts
- Soluble iron
- Total Iron
- Soluble Molybdate
- Nitrite residual
- Total hardness
- Calcium hardness
- M-Alkalinity
- OH Alkalinity
- Glycol – ethylene or propylene glycol content
- pH
In our laboratory, we also culture and count:
- Total aerobic bacteria
- Anaerobic sulphate reducing bacteria
We clean, inspect and weigh:
- Steel and copper coupons which provides data for calculating rates of corrosion
Testing for Legionella bacteria:
- AWA currently outsources testing of water samples for Legionella bacteria to facilities specifically certified for this purpose. SANAS approved laboratories.
